This is a museum village near Amsterdam, where they restore historic windmills. I picked a square format canvas and a very low horizon in the style of seventeenth century Dutch landscapes.

Cape May Threatened
Susan and I were driving up the Garden State Parkway from Cape May when I saw this. A huge, dark, threatening, cloud was hanging over the wetlands that separate Wildwood from the mainland of New Jersey. I went home and stretched a huge canvas to suit the enormous scene.
